CRHS & NCHS Class of 2023 were collectively awarded over $3.3 million in merit, athletic, academic, and senatorial scholarships combined. A large portion of that amount is generously provided through scholarships from organizations in Caroline County and on the Eastern Shore. Prior to graduation, each high school welcomed scholarship providers and recipients, along with families and staff, to awards ceremonies. “We are rich in community love and support, especially when it comes to our students,” Superintendent Derek Simmons said at the event. “The tireless and often year-round work of foundations, organizations, and clubs results in the financial support to advance students’ opportunities beyond their graduation ceremony. Congratulations to our elementary media specialists Linda Blackmon (PES), Ken Bouchet (DES), Christine Fortner (RES), Ann Mengal (GES), and Brittainy Simmons (FES)!
