Did you hear the one about the wildcat and the panther? They went whitewater rafting while conferencing in Colorado!Ms. Necessary and Ms. Waters took an Intermediate rafting trip with class IV rapids, the fastest moving rapids in the 48 continental states. What a cool #CarolineSummer experience! 🌊🤩

Juneteenth (short for “June Nineteenth”) marks the day when federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas in 1865 to take control of the state and ensure that all enslaved people be freed. The troops’ arrival came a full two and a half years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth honors the end to slavery in the United States and is considered the longest-running African American holiday.

Our elementary schools do a great job of saying goodbye to their fifth graders! Parties, awards, games, t-shirts and even balloon arches to symbolize moving from one school to the next (very cool, #FESFalcons and #CRMSCougars!).
