We are so excited that it is almost time for the Book Fair!!! This year's Fall Fair will be a little bit different. Only books and posters will be available, and there will not be a preview day. The fair will occur tomorrow, Monday, November 4th, and Wednesday - Friday, the 6th, 7th, and 8th. There is no school on Tuesday for Election Day. This is an exciting week because the Specials Schedule will change for students. This is the beginning of Quarter 2. We will have an after-school Book Fair from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Thursday 11/7. Everyone is welcome! This newsletter also includes information on using the eWallet feature or ordering books online for delivery. This week, all information will be sent home with your student via paper copy.
Grandparents Day and our annual Veterans Day Program are right around the corner! Grandparents Day will be an all-day event this Friday, November 8th. The Veterans Day Program will also occur on Friday, November 8th, at 2 p.m. and will be open to the Preston Community. Information has been sent home via email and social media this past week, and paper copies have been sent home to students.
Our Spirit Wear sale ends this Friday, November 8th. Please be sure to see the details below for all ordering details!
This week, we shine our PES Educator Spotlight on Mrs. Katherine Watson. Mrs. Watson teaches 3rd grade at PES and has taught for 22 years! She has a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and History and a Master's in Building Elementary Literacy and Reading. She is also certified in LETRS, a requirement for the MSDE Science of Reading program. Mrs. Watson is a member of our Teacher Advisory Committee, our PBIS SIP Team, and the PES representative for the School System Improvement Council. Mrs. Watson plans on continuing to become the best teacher she can be, hopefully winning the lottery and retiring in the mountains in a cabin! We are so thankful that Mrs. Watson has made the Panther Pride Den her home! #PESEducators #PESPantherPride
