GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

Students are required to complete courses in a comprehensive field of study. Graduation requirements are explained in detail in the CCPS Course Catalog and on the Caroline County Public Schools website.

ADVANCED PLACEMENT (AP) CLASSES

Advanced Placement (AP) classes offer students the opportunity to take college-level curricula and exams while attending high school. Colleges and universities may grant course credit or placement to students who score sufficiently well on their AP exams. This can help students significantly reduce the cost of their college education.

DUAL ENROLLMENT

Caroline County Public Schools partners with Chesapeake College to offer students dual enrollment opportunities. Students may enroll at Chesapeake College and complete college-level courses while still in high school. Chesapeake College offers students a 25% discount on tuition for participating students.

Students must be at least 16 years old and have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 to participate. To learn more, please contact your guidance counselor.

NAVAL JUNIOR ROTC

NCHS partners with Easton High School to provide students with the opportunity to participate in Naval Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC). The program emphasizes citizen and leadership development, as well as naval/maritime topics.
