At the April Board of Education meeting, the Board considered further revisions to the Student Dress Code policy.
Following the feedback received from the Board at their March meeting and after review by legal counsel, revisions were made to include more specific information and procedures directly in the policy, rather than in an accompanying regulation.
Given the substantial change from two documents to one stand-alone, the public is again invited to share feedback by emailing comments to pio@ccpsstaff.org. Comments will be accepted until noon on Friday, May 2, 2025.
According to Board policy, new and revised policies are reviewed by the Board at least two meetings prior to their adoption. Revised policies may be adopted after review at one meeting. The exception is a new policy that is required by the Maryland State Department of Education, which may be adopted with one reading by the Board.
