Caroline Helping Hands (CHH) recently received a $5,000 grant from the Maryland Food Bank.
CHH is a volunteer based organization that partners with Caroline County Public Schools (CCPS) to provide holiday and weekend food bags to students in need. The organization’s dedicated army of volunteers packs over 930 bags every weekend for CCPS students, enabling them to have healthy, nutritious food as a supplement for weekend meals.
CHH receives food from the Maryland Food Bank, and funding the Maryland Department of Human Services through the Maryland Food Bank. Additionally, CHH is funded through generous donations from the Caroline Foundation, Food for Learning and other grantors and private donors.
