Bailey Kalinowski, a rising senior at North Caroline High School, recently signed a Youth Apprenticeship contract with Alana Gassaway, Human Resources Manager at Crystal Steel Fabricators, Inc., in Federalsburg, Maryland.

To finalize the apprenticeship agreement, a signing ceremony was held at Crystal Steel Fabricators, Inc. Bailey, her mother, brother and grandparents, Mike Mishler, Vice President of Operations, and Jeff Keith, Plant Supervisor, for Crystal Steel, Caroline County Public Schools (CCPS) Director of College and Career Readiness Lindsey McCormick, CCPS Coordinator of Career Readiness Eric Cook, Caroline County Director of Economic Development Bob Zimberoff, Department of Labor Apprenticeship Navigator Jacqueline Trieu, and Blue Coordinator/Career Navigator Shirley Lake with the Upper Shore Workforce Investment Board were in attendance.

Ms. McCormick said, “This partnership paves the way for welding dual enrollment students and apprenticeships with Crystal Steel. We appreciate Bailey stepping up to the plate, and are grateful to Crystal Steel for their partnership."
