Tyler Hare, a rising senior at Colonel Richardson High School (CRHS), recently signed a Youth Apprenticeship contract with John Galdieri III, president of Trident Aircraft in Easton, Maryland.

To finalize the apprenticeship agreement, a signing ceremony was held at Trident Aircraft. Tyler, his parents Gabby and Brandon, Mr. Gadlieri, Trident Aircraft Chief Financial Officer Tad Woodward, CRHS Principal Jared Sherman and CRHS counselor Jennifer Reed, Caroline County Public Schools (CCPS) Director of College and Career Readiness Lindsey McCormick, CCPS Coordinator of Career Readiness Eric Cook, Maryland State Department of Education Coordinator of Apprenticeships Pamela Clay, and Department of Labor Apprenticeship Navigator Jacqueline Trieu were all in attendance.

Ms. McCormick explained that Tyler began working for Trident as a career internship. “Due to his work ethic, dedication and passion for aviation mechanics, Trident was quick to formalize this experience into a Youth Apprenticeship,” she said. “This shows the power of matching a student’s strengths and aptitude with their interests.”

More information about the Youth Apprenticeship Program may be found on the Caroline County Public Schools website. Local businesses interested in partnering with Youth Apprenticeship or students interested in the program should contact Eric Cook, cook.eric@ccpsstaff.org.
