In April, students from Colonel Richardson Middle School (CRMS) and Colonel Richardson High School (CRHS) performed in the 2024 All-Shore Bands, sponsored by Eastern Shore Band Directors' Association (ESBDA). In total, students from eight Eastern Shore counties were represented.

Brox Meissner, Ellie Mills, Kaylie Mueller, and Abby Trice from CRMS performed in the 45th Annual Junior All-Shore Band under the direction of conductor Andrew Spang. CRHS students Alexis Beans, Alyssa Bradley, and Wilson Clough from CRHS performed under the baton of conductor/composer Dr. Mark Lortz. Colonel students performed several solos and received thunderous applause throughout the concert.

Dr. Lortz premiered his composition entitled ‘Daredevil’, performed by the senior orchestra. This work, which will become a standard in literature, was dedicated to all of the students and directors of the ESBDA.

“Colonel students performed beautifully,” said CRMS/CRHS Band and Orchestra Conductor Tom Cheezum. “They are an exceptionally talented group of student musicians, and they represented their schools and Caroline with great pride.”
