March 25, 2024 – Board of Education member Donna DiGiacomo submitted her resignation, effective Monday, April 1, 2024, to Board President Rick Barton. President Barton stated, “On behalf of the Caroline County Board of Education, we thank Mrs. DiGiacomo for the time she spent on the board and appreciate her service to the staff and students of Caroline County Public Schools.”
Regarding the vacancy this resignation creates, the board will discuss options as they pertain to Maryland law with the Board attorney at their next meeting.
