2023-2024 Reopening Plan

All Maryland school systems are required to provide the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) a Reopening Plan that addresses the reopening of Maryland schools for the 2023-2024 year. This plan must provide for the continuity of services that address and maintain the health and safety of students, educators, and staff. There are 12 requirements necessary for a complete plan.

AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN (ARP) ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL EMERGENCY RELIEF (ESSER) FUNDS

The purpose of the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) III Fund is to help safely reopen and sustain the safe operation of schools and address the impacts of COVID-19 on the nation’s students by addressing students’ academic, social, emotional, and mental health needs. Caroline County Public Schools has been awarded $13,700,623 in ESSER III funds. This plan describes how the awarded funds will be used.
